Building Codes & Inspections

Building codes can be an effective tool in improving the energy efficiency of a community's structures. EECBG funding is available through this program for the development and implementation of building codes and inspection services, as well as the associated training and enforcement of such codes in order to support code compliance and promote building energy efficiency. This funding can be used to improve inspection services to make sure a community meets Arkansas' Energy Code and/or to establish advanced sustainable and green building codes and incentives that are greater than the current code for their communities.
