Energy Efficiency & Conservation Programs

There are many ways a local government can encourage effective energy efficiency and conservation programs. EECBG funding may be used to develop and implement programs for designing, building, and operating energy efficient government, commercial, and residential buildings and facilities. The development and implementation of energy efficiency and conservation programs for buildings and facilities need to take place within the jurisdiction of your town or county. Projects should be limited to: design and operation of the programs; identifying the most effective methods for achieving the maximum participation and efficiency rates; public education, measurement and verification protocols; and identification of energy efficient technologies.
